Terms of service
These terms apply between Dewoid ("we", "us") and the merchant who installs Findel on a Shopify store ("you").
1. The service
Findel is an app for Shopify stores. It copies your store's catalogue and content, provides search on your storefront (a pop-up, a search bar or icon, and a results page), answers shoppers' questions from your store's own policies, pages and FAQ, and shows you analytics about search. Features available to you depend on your plan.
2. Installing and your account
- You install Findel through Shopify and must have the right to do so for the store.
- Your use of Shopify itself is governed by Shopify's terms.
3. Findel and Shopify
- Findel is an independent app and is not made by Shopify. We alone are responsible for Findel.
- Shopify is not liable for any fault in Findel or for any harm that comes from installing or using it.
- Unless Shopify says otherwise, Shopify cannot help you install or use Findel. Please contact us instead.
- As between Shopify and us, we alone are responsible for any liability that arises from your access to or use of Findel, including its development, use, marketing, distribution and support, and our access to, use, distribution and storage of your store's data.
4. Plans, trials and billing
- Plans, prices and what each includes are listed in the app's Plan page and on the pricing section of this site. Prices are in US dollars a month and do not include taxes. Where taxes apply, Shopify adds them to your bill.
- Plans are billed by Shopify. Charges appear on your Shopify invoice, and Shopify's billing terms apply to them.
- Starter, Growth and Pro begin with a 14-day free trial that includes 500 AI searches. Nothing is charged until the trial ends.
- Each plan includes a number of AI searches a month. After those, search keeps working as keyword and semantic search until the month resets. On Enterprise the AI continues, and the additional AI searches are billed per 1,000 at the rate shown in the app.
- You can change or cancel your plan at any time in the app. Charges already made are not refunded, including for part of a billing period, unless the law requires it. We may still agree to a refund in an individual case.
- We may change prices. We tell you by email to your store's contact address at least 30 days before a change takes effect.
5. Your store's content and data
- Your catalogue, content and settings remain yours. You give us permission to copy and process them only to provide Findel to your store.
- You are responsible for the content of your store, including the policies and FAQ entries Findel answers from.
- Answers are generated by AI from your own documents and can be wrong. You can see the source of each answer and change the documents it comes from.
- We process your shoppers' data on your behalf, as set out in the privacy policy and the data processing agreement, which forms part of these terms. You are responsible for telling your shoppers about it in your own privacy notice and for your store's cookie consent settings.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Findel to break the law or Shopify's terms, not to interfere with or overload the service, not to try to access other stores' data, and not to resell or reverse engineer the service.
7. Our software
Findel, its software and this website remain ours. You receive a right to use Findel for your store while your plan is active.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Findel available and fast, but we do not guarantee that it will run without interruption or errors. We may change or improve features over time.
9. Warranty and liability
- Findel is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we give no warranties other than those in these terms, including that Findel fits a particular purpose or that search results and answers are complete or correct.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, sales or data.
- Our total liability under these terms is limited to the amount you paid for Findel in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
- These limits do not apply to liability for intent or gross negligence, or to any other liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Ending the service
- You can stop using Findel at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin.
- 48 hours after uninstall, Shopify asks us to delete your store's data and we do. Backups that still contain it expire within 30 days.
- We may suspend or end the service for a store that breaks these terms. We tell you by email first and give you reasonable time to fix the problem, unless the breach is serious, harms other stores or the service, or the law requires us to act at once.
11. Leaving Findel and your data
- You can ask us at support@findel.ai to export the data you have in Findel: your settings, synonyms, boost rules, filters, FAQ entries and search history. We send it within 30 days of your request, in a common machine-readable format and at no charge.
- Ask for the export before you uninstall Findel, and keep it installed until you have received it: after uninstall your store's data is deleted as described in section 10.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. Disputes arising from them are decided by the competent court at Dewoid's registered seat in Serbia.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We tell you about material changes by email to your store's contact address at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with them, you can uninstall Findel before then; if you keep using it, the new terms apply.
